The whole point of this thread is helping people play this game on Linux  :P
I have personally played both Retro and the Legacy Pre-registration on Linux successfully.

I think this thread needs to be updated, since both Legacy and Retro are no more browser-based.

Updated with a warning at the top of the post. I don't have a copy of the standalone client so I can't provide instructions yet (or even test if it's possible to run on Linux).

Im working on testing the launcher this week.

I have been unable to get the early access client to work. It looks like the client uses a very new version of the .NET framework that has little support in wine.

Hopefully the full client will be different, but currently I doubt Retro will run at all "natively". A virtual machine is currently your best bet.
