Do you think they are done with the game (by that i mean the beta ) and are now working on the launcher just so they could have both ready to go when it's open?
There's been a bit of a development, and the game will take longer than initially anticipated due to some language issues.
Not to be all nosy, but what exactly would the language issues entail? If that's something you know/can at least speculate on
Essentially the server has to be rewritten. Now, I know what you're thinking. "This is detrimental." However, it's not as bad as it seems. A rewrite is actually very simple and done by developers all the time. The vast majority of the time spent on development thus far has been research and guesswork. This time, as they already know how everything works, will go significantly faster.

They said they had a break through earlier, now they have a major setback. This is going to take a little while.

not necessarily... the problem with the rewrite was mainly due to translations from the original coding.

The only reason the coding took so long was because of....

If they couldn't release it in 2016 I doubt it will be ready so soon.

Keep in mind that I'm not a developer. I don't know how long it will take, only that it should be less than last time.

Well that's good that it will take less time.

Nobody's talking much over here but there's probably a reason why it's still up.

Man it would be nice for us to get another update on retro considering its been about 2 months since this came out. I know beggars can't be choosers but I feel we are really close to a closed beta.

Closed beta might come out in Feb. Don't quote me on that though. It would be nice to get another update though.
