Suggestions / Re: Option to allow non-buddy mail
« on: October 13, 2018, 04:59:32 PM »
Of course it's already possible, but creating a function that literally has no use other than to let people you don't know send you messages that most of the time would be bot spam invites more issues than using public chat.

That's what my configurations suggestion fixes.
Actually, it more or less makes it just a bit harder to bot spam. You never know what player that can bot spam actually meets the requirements. It also makes the whole idea kinda useless if almost no one can message you as a non-buddy with all these configurations.

My entire idea of this in the first place was to get something that 90% of MMOs have, which is a system to communicate without being on a friend list. Use at your own risk is a part of it.

I don't know what they're worth in taros tbh, so I'm open to offers. What items do you have by the way?

Brain helmet, Nergal tentacles, bubbles dynamo hat, a few capes. Nothing too spectacular so I'd be more open to doing taros + an item or just taros.

it just might seem like that because of the ratio of common crates you get when compared to super dooper crates

This factors into it a lot.

FusionFall Retro Discussion / Re: Grenades / Rockets
« on: October 11, 2018, 10:28:39 PM »
There's a reason the patch notes called grenades the "hard mode" weapons- they're near impossible to hit enemies with, much less aggro'd ones that are in your face.

Rockets fare slightly better, I wouldn't use them over Shatterguns but if you think about it they're pretty much just melee weapons that "swing" at the first target in a straight line.

I didn't see anything about them in the patch notes oof lol, I really hope Legacy does heavy changes to these two because they just seem so janky and unfun to work with

I think it would be really nice if they could make grenades explode on contact with an enemy instead of just a set range

I think rockets need more directional options, along with a higher velocity. Grenades need a shorter fuse time in general.

Rarer crates have higher percentages to drop rarer items. RNG goes into every crate drop so it's always possible to get any rarity out of a crate, regardless of the crate rarity. You got lucky on the common crates but unlucky on the rarer ones. It's just how RPG RNG drop rates work.

FusionFall Retro Discussion / Re: Mount Blackhead Ziplines

One of the zips from Mount Blackhead goes in the direction of Leaky Lake then loops back around to Camp Kidney. Another one North(?) somewhere. There's an incoming line from Fuzzy's house and possibly one more.

Looking to buy the entire highlander armour set (tunic, pants, and boots). Doesn't have to be specifically that one. Gaelic, Edinburgh, Lowlander and Glasgow sets are exactly the same but in different colours. Willing to exchange both taros and ultra rare items for pieces of the set.

Edit: Highlander Tunic acquired. Looking for Pants and Boots.

Because the moment players turn it on, they'll get spammed. If kids get spammed by bot messages that are inappropriate or hack their computers, parents will rage.

Messages can't hack a computer, so let's get that out of the way first.

Next up, everything can have configuration options, such as what level a player has to be before messaging you or how long their account has had to exist for. Everything has a workaround.
I'm kinda neutral on this right now but I will say spam bots could send LINKS to kids that can send them to a download for a virus or something inappropriate.

On one hand, I get what you're saying, but that's what configurations are for. On the other hand, you could talk to someone through the ingame chat and tell them a link to something, so it's not like it's not already possible.
