FusionFall Retro Weekly Updates - Vehicles
« on: February 16, 2018, 06:56:13 PM »
Hey everyone! In this week's update we'll be covering vehicles and all of the changes that were made to make them better and more fun to use!

In the original game, vehicles were introduced with DexLabs Upgrade I: Speed and Style. Vehicles allow you to go faster and give you the freedom of being able to ride over infected land and pools. Vehicle vendors could be found in major hubs of the game world, and were generally considered higher level items. Unfortunately, when vehicles were introduced, there was a lot of instability regarding hopping on and off the vehicle.

In Retro, we were able to solve a few of the issues and can ensure hopping on and off vehicles won’t hang for seconds at a time and should cause fewer freezes. Though vehicles won’t be available in the Future, they had to be taken care of so that hitting the vehicle hotkey wouldn’t freeze your game either. Fortunately, that just means yet another feature is taken care of.

There’s even a few unreleased vehicles in the version we’re using for Retro. Most notably, there’s a handful of hovercars! We’re not entirely set on how or when we may be re-introducing these vehicles, but you can look forward to using these cool cars in future events or updates!

As always, thanks for reading our latest Retro update!
